After four days docked at the International Space Station, Starliner’s hatch will soon be closed as it’s prepared to return back to Earth. The Expedition 67 crew has been floating in and out of Starliner all morning, performing interior closeout work prior to hatch closure planned for 1:55 pm ET. They completed cargo transfer with the 600 pounds of return cargo now in place, including three Nitrogen Oxygen Recharge System (NORS) tanks and hardware supporting tissue engineering research.
Coverage of Starliner’s hatch closure begins at 12:55 p.m. ET. Starliner will separate from the ISS on Wednesday, with a scheduled landing at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico at 6:49 p.m. ET. Undocking and landing coverage begins at 2:00 p.m. ET Wednesday on NASA TV and at nasa.gov/live.
